Overview LMI is seeking a Secret-cleared Power BI Developer to support the redesign, development, and modernization of business intelligence, data visualization, reporting, and knowledge management solutions.A successful Power BI Developer will have five (5) or more years of experience using Power BI software for data modeling, dashboard development, reporting, automation, and analytics. The Power BI Developer will have supporting experience with Power Platform tools, including Power Apps, Power Pages, and Power Automate, to enable integrated data-driven solutions. The Power BI Developer will be able to leverage the Agile Way of Working to engage stakeholders and meet customers’ needs. A successful Power BI Developer will be detail oriented, possess the management skills to hold people accountable to quality expectations and timelines, and respond quickly to evolving client needs. Responsibilities Solution Design:Analyze business requirements to identify Power BI reporting, dashboard, and data visualization solutionsDesign and develop Power BI solutions, including semantic models, datasets, dashboards, reports, and automated reporting capabilities to modernize legacy solutionsCollaborate with business stakeholders to ensure solutions meet their needsDevelopment:Develop Power BI solutions using Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, Power Query, and supporting Power Platform capabilitiesCreate interactive dashboards, reports, data models, and other components to deliver actionable insights to stakeholdersIntegrate Power BI with SharePoint, SQL Server, cloud services, and other systems and applicationsTesting and Quality Assurance:Test and debug Power BI solutions to ensure they meet quality standards, data accuracy requirements, and user needsPerform unit, integration, and system testingProvide technical support for Power BI reports, dashboards, datasets, and related applicationsMaintenance and Support:Provide ongoing maintenance and support for Power BI solutionsTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power BI reports, dashboards, data refreshes, and data modelsStay up-to-date with the latest Power BI and Power Platform technologies and best practicesDocumentation:Create and maintain technical documentation for SharePoint solutions Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Analytics or related field3-5+ years of experience developing Power BI solutionsStrong understanding of Power BI architecture, data modeling, development frameworks, and best practicesProficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, Power Query, and relevant data visualization techniquesExperience developing interactive dashboards, reports, semantic models, datasets, and data refresh solutionsKnowledge of SQL Server, database design, and data integration conceptsExperience with Power BI and supporting Power Platform software, including Power Apps, Power Pages, and Power Automate, for automation, documentation, and reportingAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills Must possess an active Secret clearance.Preferred Qualifications:Master’s degreeOrganizational change management understanding and/or certificationsExperience with Human Centered Design principles and methodologiesExperience with 508 compliance requirementsPrevious experience within the government contracting spacePrevious experience in DoWTarget salary range: $110,000 - $130,000Disclaimer: The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation.
